Run Free now Sadie.
I am so so so sorry. I really feel for you, but take peace in the knowledge she fell asleep peacefully and is now free from any pain.
I too lost my baby girl... nearly two years ago now, and there isnt a day that goes by that i dont think about her.

Thanks every one for you replies to this
It's nice to know people dont think its silly for me being so devestated over the loss of my dog
it is getting easyer already but still things are a killer man as when you do sumink and ya dogs usualy there either under your feat or making noise
People ask already if I'll get another and Im sure I will at some point in the future just not yet.
Thanks again peeps.

Takes you a while to get over, I'm only just starting to think of having another and its been over two years coming up to three.
Edit: just to say I found what you mention the hardest, doing things forgetting he's not there like holding doors after I've gone through them because he was usually about two feet behind me, same with forgetting he's not under your feet.

As hard as it may seem, get another dog as soon as you can, whenever one of my doggies died, i used to go straight out and get another as it helped me get over my grieving, my last dog died nearly 2 years ago, and i havent been in the position where i can go out and get another, and i am still grieving now...... and i swear its because i havent had another to take my mind off it... i still remember the day she fell asleep in my arms as if it were yesterday...... welling up just talking about it.... but go out, go and see some pups, and it genuinely will help you remember sadie for all the good things and move on.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Absolutly gutted for you m8.
You can never forget a loved one, even that 'damn' dog. They have a personality that is loved inside of us.
I know where you are coming from with regards to doing normal tasks around the house and the dog is always below your feet and in my case, in my road all of the time.
I've lost 3 dogs over my time as I grew up with them and I loved them all dearly.
The best way, as you have said above, is to get another one. They will fill a void in your heart and the void will slowly fill once again, BUT Sadie's legacy will live on forever in your heart.
My mum still has a large picture of our black lab on the kitchen wall, who died some 15 years ago. Thats how much our pets mean to us.

It's a weird thing man, I see a lot of people telling me on forums to get another one asap but I duno if I'd feel callus in doing so tbh
I in the last two days have been out and purchased 3 dead locks 2 chubb locks 1 yale lock and a new back door - just got the back door left to fit now but Ive done all this as its never been needed befor tbh with you Sadie advertised her own presance at my home no need for signs warning of her
I nearly orderd a complete house alarm today but have thought better of it and am thinking I'll have another Rotty at some point, just dont know when
tried to talk a little about it with the Mrs but she's taken it hard today, worst she's taken it since we lost Sadie Tuesday
