Best mod would be putting the engine in the correct place imo.

oh right. you made out as if you had a running engine IN the boot and it was RWD.

Erm well I ain't very clued up on what to do first on FRSTs but I'm sure a T3 conversion wouldn't go amiss if its not already been done and upgrading the poxy standard cooler to a front mount or at least the PACE one. Cams I think its the CVH34 or 35 kent cam that goes down well on FRSTs. And a decent chip/map would do too.

If you going for more power with a FRST, assuming that you've got the exhaust/filter sorted, then next step I would take would be a T3 turbo, beige injectors, uprated fuel pump and a chip either rolling road or live map. Worth while going for a intercooler, i.e. GRS one. Futher on, take you pick - Kent/Piper/newman cams with a flowed head, low comp pistons....

i want my FRST back now

All that minus the flowed head would be well over 200bhp IMO, depends on the boost it's running I'd say close to 220-230bhp and iirc not far from the limit of the beige injectors.

If you are going for more than say 160-170bhp, a management change is a MUST!

I'd says the normal one is ok, just mapped properly, you're either on OFAB or OFAC depends on the date of manufacture. You can run a 3 bar map sensor with OFAB but not on OFAC (someone's going to correct me on that!! )

If you want a fancy managment then there's plenty about, see you're local tuner is the best idea.

The WRX was tidy, but got stolen a few months ago So now with a 106 runabout till i find something fun
