Default Mk4 astra pictures - barrys track car

Uploaded for "flatout" as he is a bit computer illiterate.

Shown here on its road wheels, the trackday ones are a very similar style but are an inch smaller to give a better tyre choice.

Currently a relatively standard (evo5) C'LET but with lots more to come in the next year or so

Massive thanks for Dave and Helen for the loan of their trailor so I could go and fetch it last week

Looks ok, flushed bootlid must be heavy though, not the best thing to add to a track car, weight?

Its still got glass too, its not just a pure trackday car, he uses it on the road too, so its a bit of both.

I think he still wants to be able to use it on the road for now, its only on basic coilovers etc now anyway, he's just about to order some big brakes for it, and then once he's got the hang of it he plans to go a bit more hardcore with some remote reservoir ohlins and more power etc, I guess thats the time to start bothering with losing weight out of it too.

wrong way round imo - lose the weight and you don't need the bigger (heavier) brakes, better suspension etc. usually cheaper too

Yeah the contrast between the wheels and the matt paint really makes them catch the eye.
