Entered as co-driver in the Cannonball 8000 this year
It's the manchester to brighton run, end of May... not the european one
Should be a good laugh, up to manchester sat afternoon, party sat night, off sunday am, stop somewhere en route, arrive brighton, party again
Can't wait
Just need to figure out if we're going to dress up, and what in

Nope
Quite keen on dressing up, not too sure what as... and I don't really fancy sweating all day in a costume inside a tin top

I'm not paying for it, so couldn't care less if it's good value for money or not
Should be a good laugh and a bit of fun for a day, not really expecting much more tbh.

10K+ Poster!!
We did the Cannonball a few years ago and it was a right laugh, great company and some tasty cars.
I'd be concerned over the fines you may get from doing one in this country.
Enjoy yourself though and drive safe

Well that's it, the man has gone up to Manchester and is (hopefully) enjoying his pre-event party!
Startup is at 8am tomorrow, so rude for a Sunday morning! I know where I'll be!
Drive safe and have fun!
========================== Edited ===============
Oops not starting at 8 but 10:30! Bit more civilized!

Hey nath, got back home yesterday lunch time, and had a really good time. Goes to show you can have some fun without breaking the speed limits hey
Get up to manchester saturday at around 6pm, checked in, had a beer, got changed and into a taxi to a club in town called red door for a private get together.
Free bar and music, an opportunity to meet and greet other participants and start forging a few relationships.
Back to the hotel in the not too late hours in the morning, enough for some kip and over to Old Trafford stadium for breakfast at 09:30 followed by driver's briefing and off under light police escort through manchester.
Unfortunately the weather wasn't with us and it was pissing with rain by the time we left, there were a few people there to wave us away though
Through manchester for a little parade around, then onto the M6 on the way to Blenheim palace.
We re-grouped on the Toll road services on the M6 to give the video crews a chance to get some footage of cars in convoy.
Lunch at blenheim palace, then onto the final leg of the journey to Brighton and the Grand hotel on the sea front.
Got there, parked the car, checked-in, hit the bar and the free-drinks VIP party on the beach front till the early hours of the morning.
Woke up monday morning, slightly worse for wear, just in time for breakfast, some fresh air and a short drive back home.
All in all, a good week end, met some good like-minded people and had a good time chatting to them all, as my croaky voice can attest.
Would love to do it all over again
Some of the pictures I took are here by the way: http://slideshows.scullard.com/Canno...une/index.html
Well worth doing imo, at least once if not every six months !

I was seriously worried I'd come back with a need for an EVO and yet... while it was more sure footed, more responsive, more modern, etc... I haven't been looking at the autotrader yet Seems I'll be keeping the cossie(s) for a little while longer

Testing the future
It was Nick, it was... even got to drive the EVO for a few hundred miles, not all m-way either, and allowed to give it some stick.

What number on the Evo was you on? I was in Brighton that weekend and saw some nice cars including Evo! Took some pics too, so maybe there's a photo of Evo on it.
Edit
Just had a look at my photos, there's one black Evo, number 51, turning to the Grand hotel, with the Merc (number 62) following.
Is that you on that car?

Sure will post it when I get home. It's not a very good photo, as I was taking the pictures from the other side of the road. But better than nothing.
