can i point out that Jim has done nothing and as such anytihng that may or may not have happened was not at all down to jim, and could just aswell have happened to anyone.

ok since stu has got kinda close...
on saturday i was driving to ashford toa hotel, just as i got near, i smelt burning...
i quickly pulled into the hotel (about 20m down the road) and smoke was coming from the enginebay from the gearbox area... i quickly called the firebrigade who arrived v. quickly and sprayed a LOT of water on it, which put it out... at the time i thought the car had somehow caught fire...
next day ring the AA for a tow home, but upon inspection a peice of soundproofing was doung hanging rom the tranny tunnel and was resting on the exhaust and it was v. burnt...
so the soundproofing (which had gone all manky) had fallen down and started smouldering on the exhaust...
no damage was caused, but the car stunk of chargrilled soundproofing
funny thing is the car was in for an MOT that same morning
