Take the wires that go into the rad switch and join them together. If the fans work, its the switch or your radiator is blocked.

If they don't work, then the fault is somewhere else.

Default Fans not cutting in on a cozzy

WEll last week my fans didnt cut in as they should gladly i was already @ home when it happend and i had a SECS to see the temp was getting a tad to high!

What should i check?

checked so far:

Fans are working directly (as they are now on a switch) ive checked the fuse and relay in the fusebox and they seem to be fine
switched the relay just in case with another but no luck.

Will it be the sensor in the rad then? ive checked it but not that good as i was a bit in a hurry .. how will i be able to check if its that one?

thanks people

my fans work if i join the wires

but they dont work on my new fan switch would this indicate that the rad is blocked down by the switch ?

I would say the Fan switch in the Radiator tbh, But also when my temp sender
packed up, the gauge would go into the cold when it was gettin hot !!

thas why i think my rad maybe blocked as it all works apart from the fan switch and i have tried 2 new ones

when i replaced it tho water came out

is there a +ve and -ve on a fan switch ? or does it not matter whch way round the wires go

my new fan switch has spade connectors on so had to cut the multiplug off
