Stack wheel speed sensors - where have you mounted yours?
as above, i got me a ST700SR and most people have mounted tghe sensor to read off the bolts of their discs/bells
but with me being poor and having std brakes, where the fook have you mounted your sensor, and do you have any dimentions for the bracket?
thankyou please

Cool, cheers Mac.
Martin, i thought you HAD to use the stack sensors? as i also need a water temp and oil pressure sensor, as well as the wiring harness, and the stack ones cost almost as much as the ST700SR
Nige, you paying? std ones will do for now, although i may get some spacers made up to use the std calliper with a focus RS disc, but i want the thing running first.

1. Providing you don't need the ABS.
2. Don't screw it in too far so the teeth take the tip off the sensor.
3. Know the teeth count of the ABS wheel .
Marc,
What a complete waste of time putting it on a driven wheel, as it will be wheel spin city . At leat you will know how fast the tyres are spinning .

Use VDO pressure and temperature sensors, much cheaper than "stack" ones and they scale correctly
The speed sensor just needs to be an inductive proximity sensor with "NPN" switching type output, and they dont need to cost Ł112!! that Stack want.
*edit*need to clarify that a bit - Stack sensors are a specific 2-wire format, the generic type are 3-wire which require a seperate supply voltage, this is already wired to the connector but not out to the sensor, so needs to be wired through to utilise the generic type sensor

2-wire ones are just not as easy to find as 3-wire. Last one I replaced came as one of a pair for Ł7 on ebay pmsl

no doubt not the cheapest, but waay cheaper than STACK
don't worry about the temp sensors only being single wire, as long as you have a decent engine ground connection just connect the signal wire. Alternatively (essential if the sensor body isn't grounded) connect the ground side black connection to the sensor body.
