Whats the score with the Mk4 golfs, and their different states of tune?
Is it simply a remap that sets the 4 different tdi engines apart? Or is there more to it?
I.e Could I have a 90bhp Golf remapped to 130? 150? Or is there more to it?

They can all be remapped but to different levels, not sure about 90bhp,
But I think the 110 and 115's can be mapped to around 150bhp, the 130's to about 180bhp and the 150's to about 200bhp.
Have a look here:

and use the drop downs on the right handside!

Think I will do mate. Was impressed with yours/Stickys that time we went Warrington!
Found a white mk4. It's 5 door, but I want something practical - and I can see some great visions of it!
Anthracite wheels, proper comfy interior, and colour coded! YUM!

I have an 03 plate golf GT TDI 130 model. It has been remapped to around 170ish bhp. It's a wicked car for every day use and pretty nippy for a diesel. Handle really well and everything works as it should. Very good cars IMHO, i love mine and Stu rates them alot aswell and takes it out for abit of fun now and again
. And i get 500 miles to a full tank, can't complain!

Sure someone told us that when we had the 90bhp TDI Bora it could be mapped, would have liked my 150bhp Mk4 Golf TDI Anniversary mapped.... was fast anyway but could have been scary....

All can be easily improved via remap.
The 90 goes to around 120.
The 110 to around 140
The 130 to around 175
The 150 to around 200.
I will look after you if you do Dan as i have sold a lot of software one way and another thanks to kind words from you.

yeh the wifes got the mk4 gt tdi 150. great car. 64 mpg![Top](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile011.gif)
as for tuning, i think the turbo may be different on the 130/150 cars to the 90/110/115. but you can chip them easily enough.

Hey stu long time no speak
Ive been thinking of getting a diesel chapper for a while due to doing more miles and been considering a TD golf.
Does the 130-170 or 150-195 converstions affect fuel consumption for 'normal' driving a lot ?
Also, do they get thristy when 'booting' it from this increase ?
Lastly, does it affect the engine reliability at all or decrease reliability in anyway ?
