Anyone know how to get cheap Eurotunnel Tickets?
Hi all
As above really - I am trying to get tickets for me holiday, and because the outward journey is a fortnight before the coming back journey, it is costing a packet!
Any ideas/ codes? Help!

the cheapest way is to use tesco clubcard vouchers where you get the value of 4:1. on our skiing holiday in march, the Ł160 return crossing was paid for using Ł40 of vouchers
apart from that, i don't know. have you looked at the price of 2 single journeys compared to a return?

no worries james. it is a bit of a pulaver though. you have to book it by phone rather than t'internet, and then they send you a form to fill out and send back with the vouchers etc. all takes a bit of time, so if you're going to do it, do it sooner rather than later.
also, prices generally go up the more full each train is, so early booking is cheaper. and late night / early morning is usually cheaper than during the day. we often go out late night on friday and stay in an etap hotel in france (€50 pernight) as it can work out cheaper than taking a saturday crossing and you get a good start in the morning already on the continent.
where are you heading to? might be able to give you some more tips.

Hi Steve - Mid June is the plan!
Hi Nick
Thanks for the the good advice - we are doing a road trip starting with a trip to the Nurburgring, then down to Lucern in Switzerland - through the swiss alps, and then down to Monaco for a long weekend.
After that, we are travelling on down the South coast of France finishing at Narbone, where we jump on a train (with the car) and return back to Calais some 2 weeks later.
Looking forward to it! Could do with a holiday right now

That sounds like a superb holiday JJ. Presumably you're taking the beetle? Hope it has A/C. I went to Switzerland on holiday last year, posted a few pics in this post

I went to Interlaken and had a superb holiday - the train up to the top of the Jungfrau mountain via the inside of the Eiger was a fantastic day out

Hi guys
I am really looking forward to the trip! Should be an absolute dream tour really - the Col de Turini is on the tour. Nick - I will have to see how close we are going to where you went - it looks superb!
I am also really looking forward to the Alpine crossing between Lucern and Chamonix-Mont Blanc.
Chip - you said it matey - can you imagine doing this in my other cars?! Fuck that!
We havent booked all of the accommodation, but most of it now. Agenda in full for those that are interested....
Sat - Mon : Nurburgring
Tue - Stuttgart (booked in for the Porsche Factory tour [would be rude not to!!!]) Then down to Lucern
Wed - Lucern - Chamonix Mont Blanc
Thu - Chamonix Mont Blanc - San Remo (finally for some proper sunshine!)
Fri - San Remo - Monaco
Fri - Mon - Monaco (Casinos and Col de Turini here we come!)
Tue & Wed - to be confirmed, but wine will feature heavily I hope!
Wed & Thu - Montpellier (hitching up with folks that are staying in a villa down there) - going to do a day trip to the Millau Viaduct. If you havent heard of it, it is waaaay cool engineering wise - look it up - well worth it!
Fri - Narbonne
Sat - Back home on cho choo
Sun - Back home in Blighty!
Gonna be a great opportunity to get some snaps of the car and us in some great locations!
