Just wondering what oil they take grade + type and also when should the timing belt be replaced ??

Its a 2000 w reg 2ltr


Any other issues to be looked for

Ohh and what kinda tuning do they take and any decent gains ??

alright fella we run them on 5/30 semi syn mobil oil

i think its about 80 or 100k for the belt but if you've just bought it then i would personally replace it fella

also the wiring for the doors split in the rubbers sleeves

apart from that thier not to bad

Ive noticed some tend to smoke quite a lot on hard throttle, do they run quite rich when under hard throttle or is this signs of a problem starting ??

prob the over boost kicking in should only be a bit of smoke but all depends on on how you drive it and how often it gets serviced

The recommended oil is a 5w40.

I have a v plate one, they dont use intercoolers an the oil coolers are known to fail check the water bottle for sludge is often presumed as head gasket failure. Also auto wipers can stick but carry on down to rest (which is annoying as fook) an whole new unit is needed to fix. Bottom arms are pish after 80k.
