I just don't get it. These people are your friends. I see my friends in person. Of course we all have friends we can't see all the time - live in different parts of the country, or even in different countries, so to stay in contact with those people I use email. Or MSN. group mail converstations in gmail.

I don't see the point in these facebook thingies where everyone you used to go to school with that you weren't friends with add you as a friend?!?!?! Whats the point of that - you lost contact with them for a reason!!!!!!

Facebook's cool, mostly for sharing pictures and stuff. And it's just an easy way of keeping in touch for us that are far too lazy to think about people individually, get to keep up with what everyone's doing without having to actually contact them properly!

I have to agree! Don't know about sites like bebo etc as I've never used them, but facebook is for people you know, you don't just add random people! I've managed to get back in touch with people I wouldn't have been able to otherwise simply because emails, phone numbers etc change and get lost, names don't!
