my mates had his focus rs nicked today. usual blue ,standard rims etc.

got stolen from up the harwch road,colchester,essex today at 2- 2.30 ish by 3 skinny ish lads.
they broke in his mums house while no-one was in and took the keys and various other bits including jewellry

if anyone see's the car either round essex/suffolk or gets offered bits please call essex police or pm me so i can let him know.

Sorry to here that mate i bet hes gutted. A guy a know came down the stairs the other morning to find he had just been robbed and they were just driving off in his Audi S line.

Proberly the same people, they seem to target RS`s and break them up for parts, as far as i know they have had;

3 door (recovered but foooked)
XR2I Turbo (recovered)
Saphire Cosworth (stripped loads of parts off, did not steal whole car)
S1 (unsure whats happened to that one)

They are all very well known to the police but they carnt do shit untill they are caught in the act.

Keep a look out on Ebay as that is there favoured way to get rid of parts.

One of the best bits of Vehicle security i've ever seen is the Numeric keypad immobiliser.

my sister had one in her Saxo, so even if you broke into the house for the keys, you still couldnt take it cos you dont know the code....and any hijack attempt or incorrect entries on the keypad would disable the system for 60 minutes!.....but not seen one anywhere else.

The Clifford has a similar system called Blackjax. The car would start and drive but after a certain time it would slowly disable if you didnt enter the code. Its meant primarily for hijack attempts at the wheel when thieves jump you. You simply just turn the car off and let them drive off with it. Everytime you restart a vehicle with blackjax you must re enter the code. Once a safe distance a way, the blackjax will kick in and slowly pulse down I think the injectors or ignition one of the two and slowly bring the car to a halt and blare the siren and flash the brake lights
