Default BMW iDrive Service Intervals

Hi all,

I hope someone on here is able to tell me or advise me on how to sort out the BMW service intervals. Basically the oil is due to be changed in about 3000 miles (was changed about 8000-9000 miles ago) and the spark plugs haven't been changed since new on the service history but they have another 20 odd thousand miles to go and the car is on 36k but because the car isn't driven regularly and is beginning to show signs of it I want to put fresh oil in it and change the sparks.

Now can you reset its service intervals even though they are not due yet?

Thanks

No worries, just if you get it done make sure they only re-set the oil service ticker.... cos if they reset everything, it wont be accurate for your other services!

What BMW is it? As Idrive is only on current shape 5series and of course all current new models.

There is a way to reset it, but you have to do certain things. I swear i have seen it on posted on www.bmwland.co.uk post up on there for reply.

Mines 3.7k away from service and my service pack runs out in August! DOH hopefully get it done in time. Maria would they carry the service out if there was 2k miles to go until service?

Its a 520i SE and better specced than some others ive seen!!

Bi xenons, angel eyes, trakker, creame leather, black wood effect dash and centre, DSC/DTC, parking sensors, rather nice 17" 5 spokes and its in Mystic Blue! And that chrome strip you see around the windows, apparently that costs a hell of a lot as well! Dont know how much though, was already on the car when it was bought
