Default Mobile internet thingys which is best ?

as title really, who has got one of those internet thingys for using a laptop anywhere and which is best ? Thinking of getting the Girlfriend one as apart of her birthday present !

ive a vodaphone 3g modem through genesis,unlimited usage for £19 a month,its very fast on 3g and ok on gprs,not one problem with it so far.

if there is no 3g signal cant you not connect to the net?
im fancying one as im going offline for a while soon and that might help sort the problem?

yes but only through gprs.

i use the 3 pay as ya go one, a tenner a month, not had a signal problem as yet either

got one yesterday from vodafone - the £15 a month for 3GB contract. you have the option of different devices depending on cost/speed. have only briefly trialled it, so can't advise too much

Have installed and used 3, BT, Vodafone

By far the worst was 3. Best is BT, but that just piggybacks of Vodafone.

If it were my money then the Vodafone one hands down.

Can these be used on your ps3 ?

I use my n95 as a modem and it works just as fast as my broadband @ home !

I found vodafone absolute shite and sent it back.
3 wasnt to bad, but have T-mobile now and have no problems.

really? im down south and the 3 for me is just as quick browsing net etc as my broadband at home

I've got a Vodafone one, with the new white USB modem and it is lightning quick. I'd bin my ADSL in favour of one if i didnt download so much stuff off bit-torrent

The main thing is check the coverage maps in the areas your going to use it,

then when you go for one, make sure there is a get out clause 7 days etc, so if the maps are abit wrong, you aint stuck with something giving you less than dail up!
