The write ups on this car have been immense (sp) what a charger.

Am dying to have a run out in the latest Vorsprung Durch Technik.

I have heard you are getting one, Mike, is this true?

If so what is your view from your test drives?

Other than the E60 M5 second hand from £35k, no I dont think there is.

Sadly Audi have gone Crazy with the price tag, but I am sure the second hand prices will be a peach in a couple of years time, as with the E60.

have you driven the new M5? as everyone i know who has says it does lack a bit of lower range torque, unless your "on it" its a little less than pleasing (of cause it all changes when you want a starship)

I must agree this is the case, but I feel BMW have built it this way for "potter around" drivability, before you press THEE button.

They can be driven conservatively, and I personally think this is a plus point of the car.

Its not a diesel Rhys and Oranoco, I personally believe the M design team have though of that and have added a few splashes of driveability into the equation with the E60 M5.

i feel the ideal car would have alot of torque everywhere in its rev range

no one wants to drive around everywhere with there foot flat out, but the point is, in your everyday car, if you pottering about and an overtaking position comes up, you dont want to have to smash it down a few gears to complete the monover,

i still say the best engine ive ever driven is a 335i btw, its just got power everwhere, makes a lovely road car!

THE button is the GAYEST and most annoying thing EVER!

I like to control how fast I go using the ACCELERATOR PEDAL! its simple and it works!

I drove a new M5 down to France. Great car.... it does lack Torque but its fun for a big old bus...

The button thing is sooo wank though! over complicated and gimmicky and annoying!
