cosworth door mouldings!!??
i know this had prob been asked a million times, but where can i get a full set of door strips for my sapphire cosworth? can you get them from ford still or does someone else make them? need them asap and also can you get the clips for sideskirts still?any help appreciated!

Ebay or a trader unfortunately, and be prepared to pay top money for a good, straight uncracked set as they are an obsolete part AFAIK.
I paid £65 off here which was a bargain and they are mint, just keep your eyes peeled
Also, don't use Ford clips for the sideskirts, they are shocking and break with ease, MD Cos off here is making a set in metal which should cure this problem, again expect to pay around £100 for these which should be well worth it, certainly something i'll be doing in the near furture as soon as he's finished!

does he make them already??? i had heard that ford ones snap and waste of money so was going to just leave mine how it is but its going in for full shoot in 2 wks and want it perfect really when paying out all that dosh!
so can you get all door mouldings at ford still as im sure i can find some mate somewhere who works there so can get discount!?! well im going to try!
i have checked ebay and none on at min and want them now ish really!?

PM the traders on here for the door strips if you need them urgently, they might have a set in...
Don't think MD Cos has totally finished the set of side skirt clips yet, they are being fabricated from metal, not the useless plastic ones that Ford make! Your right to steer clear of them, total waste of money IMO!

wh did they come from?
i have a nearly complete set of new ones at home.waiting for one piece bfore i sell the lot on.

well mine look black but faded. (i think)
the guy on ebay who sells them said "i have 5 genuine and 1 re-manufactures R/H wing, all of them are black in colour, where as original ones are dark grey with a black strip"
but how can 5 b original if they are black and he reckons original is grey?? plus the one he has listed on at min is a passenger front wing, part number 16551192 but on the envelope it says "1651182" so thats not a part number for it is it?? maybe u can get the ones hes selling from ford still anyway??

Hi mate.
Ive got a set of door mouldings which a took off my saph cos when i had it painted. They are still intact, no cracks or anything and were mint when they were on the car. They have distorted a bit, however i found that you can "reshape" them using some sheet metal and G clamps which forms a sort of a jig. Are they any good to you. Not sure what they are worth.
