An 0870 number might be better for you (and they are also free ), at least they pay YOU between 1 and 2.5 pence per minute for people ringing you

Most UK folk wont know the difference between 0845 and 0870 as most dont read the small print you sometimes need to display. One is local rate, the others national rate. So at least your generating a small income everytime the phone rings with an 0870 / 0871 number
