OK, I own the original of Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii. I produced a backup aaages ago, but doesnt work due to the "unauthorised device detected #001" error.

Now I can get round this, and update the firmware in the chip I use, but I have read places there is a file that can be replaced in the ISO that will eradicate this issue.

My Wii games always get fooking scratched at parties and would rather keep them locked away and use a 15p disk instead!

Any ideas, or have I got to get the screwdriver out again

But apparently it DOESNT work with brickblocker...

Its the 'MAIN.DOL' file that resides in the original archive that needs replacing, amongst a few other things.

and then the partitions in the ISO need re-certifying, for want of a better word!

is that what you meant by the "latest iso"? do you d/load a file then burn to disc? how does it update the chip?

guy at work sent off 7 wii's to be modded couple weeks back. i then sent 6 of my friends and famil's wiis last fri. got a guy online that does nice price!!!! even arranges collection and delivery! but they are all the dc2's or whatever they are called.

ive got an argon in mine, seems to be the best one at the moment, updateable with a jtag connector

i have got a spare modded wii for anyone thinking of buying

Yeh I have the Cyclowiz, although when I plumbed in the chip, I only did the bare necessaties to get it working, as the contacts were bloody small LOL

Its an extra 3 wires I need to solder if I want to have the firmware update function via DVD.
