Default 2wd head??

i know the washers on the head bolts of the early heads are smaller

but does anyone know if the recess for the socket going in is any diffrent to late 2wd/4x4 head?

The entire depth of the hole is smaller on the early ones, of course larger diametre on the later ones.

thanks,i take it then the head will have to be done to fit the 18mm in on early head as the machined down socket looks on its limit and still dont fit
