i've heard a few things about it... i think it's been through several evolutions to get where it is now. from what i understand, it wasn't initially built like that and has kind had bits and pieces added on over the years. has definitely been NA cossie and i think cossie turbo, and i'm pretty sure at some point it had a BD of some description...
This was the one various people were getting very excited about at the PF day at brands, if you find the orginal thread, there was a few people they seemed to know quite abit about the car ?
I really wanted to know about it in it's current guise? Perhaps Dingly knows more - I'll send him an email .
probably worth a go mate.
failing that, i think Gary at retromotorsports (retromotorsport on here, but don't think he logs on that much)knows a fair bit about it too.
I know Adrian quite well, he has had the car some 20+ yrs now and has been in many differant forms of power plant from the original 1700 crossflow to a full blown cossie turbo engine, he used to race in the vectra challenge i think so does know the Brands circuit very well( not taking anything away from his driving talents), he does his own carbon fibre and when at Brands he was sporting a very nice carbon floorpan and i dare say soon the car will be completely carbon fibre.
Last time i saw it had a BDA type engine with a Zakspeed rocker cover and some type of injected throttle bodies but all period looking not modern if that makes sense.
Its either going to be a Atmo YB but I'd think he has seen sense and put a alloy duratec in it considering the cost of them and low weight compared to a YB
Last time I saw the car is was running a naturally aspirated Cossie motor on slide injection and as Russ says it was built by Kevin Wood of Milton Race Prep when they were in Maidstone.
Bit of a testament to Milton really that the car handles like it does, considering it was built many many years ago but at the time they were building Thundersaloons and the like.
But Kevin gave up building cars a long time ago and only does Anglia stuff now, has no interest in Escorts so please do not bombard him with e-mails begging him to build you a car because he wont.
Why you so interested Mike... has Adrian blown your doors off recently ?
