Ive got a feeling its going to be a Sapphire as Ive now managed to gleen that he 'thinks' its got 4 doors........
But who knows.
I wont post back here now until Ive seen it.....but rest assured I will let you all know what I find!

Bet the salesperson was proper sick after finding out how much they are really worth !!!
Doubt very much if this one is gonna be a 500 though, cant see any dealer giving away what was the absolute top of the range and hugely scarce most diserable model in its day !!!!
No way something like this could have been kept quiet for so long, somebody would have said something about it if it was a 500, you know what people are like.... " yeah i know where there's a delivery mileage 500 sitting in this old guys garage, never used...."

Not all of us can spend all day on forums! I do run 3 businesses as well!
OK ive spoken to the owner, bit of a case of chinese whispers, old style here Im afraid.
Its a Sapphire 2000E. Was part of a retirement package from Grays of Guildford. Done 300 miles from new. Owner fell Ill the christmas after getting it and has not used it since.
What an anticlimax.

got to be the funniest thread i,ve read in ages the pure unbridaled joy this guy felt when he thought it was a 500 n had us all creaming our nickers in excitement only then to find out its a 2000e! i konow i shouldnt laugh coz if it were me i'd be gutted that i got my hopes up but.............................. he he!
