The green MKII from denmark did last year 801bhp @ 2,2bar and spun the wheels @ 2,5bar with a gt40 turbo, so i guess it was maxed out at that boost so arround 850 bhp in the engine on a rr
this was with std cranck and rods and 8800rpm and on E85 fuel.
So i guess a big valve head, gt 42 and maybe 9000+ rpm the yb will se 1000+ bhp WITHOUT gas.

So no need to prove the results on different dynos.
the car goes from 0-125 in under 7 seconds and 258km/h @ the strip spinning all the way
Should be enough result

PassionFord Post Whore!!
There are many talented tuners out there that could get 1000hp without to much problem,
The hard bit is getting a Customer to pay for the development work as I am sure most would want/need a couple of test engines to do it with.
I have already mapped a Evo engine with it.

So keeping stock capacity MAY be whats ideally required for maximum bhp, depending on engine design.
Esp as extra capacity has little, if any, bearing on extra overall bhp.
Best give Benni the real facts I guess.

there was that chrome painted EsCos with the exhaust coming out the wing, was over 1000bhp.... hasn't Jems GT42 engine done over 1kbhp yet, should do with a turbo that size and 10,000 rpm

Seeing as a GT42RS's real no bullshit limit is about 1000bhp, and the other versions well below it, id say its not exactly easy to get 1000bhp from a GT42d YB with no gas is it, as you need to properly rinse the shit out the turbo.
Idve thought anyone serious about hitting 4 figures without gas would use summat a little bigger to be sure.

Couldnt disagree more TBH, as even a 42 is going to be laggy on a YB, anymore would be getting crazy.
People hit 660 on a 35 on a yb to avoid going bigger dont forget, so 1000 on a 42 isnt any futher off the map than that.

I know julian had real problems trying for 900 bhp on proper c16 race fuel on my mate jt's
drag engine, and he maps a lot of the so called 'big bhp' foreign engines .
Nobody has mentioned using methanol though which maybe the answer to that magic
figure.

Lots of Torque (and of course ps) Mmm.
My cc limit is 2058, this keeps me in the 1030kg weight limit, so,
If someone wants to build a 1000ps motor, be assured you will have a test place waiting. I will simply install into my hillclimb car and off we go.
The rules state that the block must be Ford.
so off you go, start building , give me a call when its finished. Forgot to mention, race fuel is not allowed.
It should be enough if the engine lasts for around 250 race miles.
cheers
Kenny.

Or the fact that in many cases lengthening the stroke to increase the capacity will reduce max safe rpm, which is exactly the opposite of what you want for a stupid bhp engine.

in fact i would go out on a limb and say i am certain it will,
after the testing and development he has done over the last few years the engine he has built is a complete monster. wait and see..
as for the Evo, a 1Kbhp on a 4pot is seriously big time, total respect for that one Mark,
but no-one has done 1K+ on a yb 2.0 version...
and untill it is common knowledge, it will stay that way...

Nobody said it had to be a certain fuel, I dont like C16 the starting point would be VP import as a min as this was what the Evo engine was on,
Then progress to more exotic fuel types if needed.

jacko mentioned a monster yb in jems workshop lol
question is lee:
does jon edwards know your going out on a limb and stating " your certain he will hit 1000 hp ?"
cos if he dont , you'l look like a tosser and he will look like a cunt ?
imho
