that would be a good start yes. Fuel attracts water and therefore does go off. Might be wanting a little bit of a retune as well. I generally run slightly rich after a pro longed period of leaving mine sitting and back off the throttle as well then lean out again once it gets properly up to temp and engine has been working for at least 10 minutes or so

yeh fuel goes off. it will smell really funky too. any small holes in jets and carbs etc normally end up jelling up so to speak if the fuel has been left in. sometimes need airline or a hard blow/blast of air to clear it through.

best thing to do is when your not going to use it for a long period drain it and start it up to burn off any fuel thats left in it

I'd say O Donnell as Tornado is a race blended fuel with more regard for power than lubrication. I'd say get O Donnell 20% R2R. Plenty of oil and lube with the extra bit of nitro for the kick.

I've never run race fuel and my hand tuned picco P1-R is running pretty damn sweet on 20% R2R.

And this is a 2.5cc 7 port modified race engine. Not BRCA legal but goes like the fucking clappers!!

hmmm what engine you got mate. 3 turns out on the main sounds about ok. Where is the low speed screw roughly? Should be near enough flush with the carb barrel approximately as base and slightly in when tuned.

ahh Blue Chunder as they call it.. used to run it and hated it because it was too oily..

Run O Donnel race formula or Tornado 25% but make sure you flush out the engine and fuel lines first to get rid of the Blue Chunder left in there

Blue Chunder lol, ahh the days back when I was hooked on RC and knew everything and every new product and car that came out. If its just for a bash mate, I wouldnt run race blended fuel as it severely shortens engine life and puts more strain on bearings. But anyway out of the two I'd run O Donnell 16% race. More forgiving than Tornado and is a very good blend of fuel. Ran a few engines on it and quite impressive.

Yea fuel is probably off. I always use tornado 35% for my savage. I'd say the best thing to do is to virtually give it a full service. Clean the air filter, fuel filter (if its got one) clean the fuel lines, clean the carb out, replace the glo plug, and more or less turn the settings back to factory and get it running and finally fine tune it after.

Hope this helps
