Default Arsene Wenger

Are Arsenal fans happy with him?

They might play pretty football...but tbh it looks like it'll be another trophyless season for them.

They were awful today, we had a second string side out and were still the better team....there players look so tired, especially Fabregas.

I know he prefers to nurture youth, but will it ever bring sustained success?

If we dont win a trophy this season it will be 2 years since we won anything, so you could ask the same question of our manager

Wenger is awesome. Who else could have done the job he's done at Arsenal?

Who fancied Arsenal to do any good at the start of this season anyway?

Who are the most entertaining club team in the world to watch? Arsenal

I think criticism of any manager who's team are finishing anywhere in the top half of the Premiership is laughable...

As much as I hate Arsenal you cant knock Arsene, he's one hell of a manager & can spot talent in a hardly known player & turn him into a big timer!

Thats a fair point fella, but after what he has acheived while he has been there, winning the league multiple times, going a whole season unbeaten, and some of the bargain signings he has made, probs is the reason he escapes criticism. but i agree with your comments about today, when i seen our line up, i thought we would get twonked, but arsenal were poor. for once, i agree with rafa's rotation, were not going to win the league, we have pretty much tied up 4th, so we could afford to lose todays game, and it kept the big names fit for tuesday, so his rotation policy for once made perfect sense, nice to see crouchy is ' still alive ' as he put it aswell

that's the clincher. Who has Wenger ever signed that has been a "big name" player?

I remember him almost apologising to everyone when he splased out on Wiltord because he cost about Ł10million and because he was a big name, but he was the only player he could get quick enough that fit the bill at the time

Henry was maybe a big name, but he'd come off the back of an awful time at Juventus and looked like he was just going to fade away into an over-hyped nobody. A season and a half at Arsenal and he was the best player in the world. Best ever in my opinion at his peak.

Barcelona obviously didn't rate Fabregas, so Arsene took him on for peanuts, need I say more?

Anelka, Toure, Eboue, Ljungberg, Adebayor..... The list just goes on

and look at the state of Arsenal when he took over. Boozed up, alcholic gambling addicts everywhere, bottom half of the table, even with players like Dennis Bergkamp and their potentially awesome defence in the squad!

Admittedly in recent week, as their results have been indifferent, their rhythm has been knocked, but you could still see it in spells against Liverpool the other night

On their day, Arsenal are head and shoulders above every other team on the planet in terms of entertainment

Well, it's down to individual taste, but I don't find Man Utd good to watch. Sure, their form is awesome at the moment, some of their players (Ronaldo is the obviously one that springs to mind) is a pleasure to watch, and admittedly against Villa they were great entertainment value (In all my years watching football, that is the most entertaining show I've seen Man Utd put on), but nope, I'm afraid they have nothing on Arsenal in terms of pure football, even if they are more effective

The most entertaining team this season is Man Utd.

The only team out of "big" 4 going to win the two big trophy's is Man Utd

Player of the season Ronaldo from Man Utd

Goal of the season Ronaldo from Man Utd

and this is a view from a Chelsea supporter.... sometimes you got to take the blinkers off guys lol

Well you see what Wenger has to work with. A team thats considerably young, lack of real premiership experience bar a few like gallas. Arsenal just ran out of puff. They got a few injuries and they have become really limited in options thats why United were favourites even from christmas. The depth, experience and class in the United squad was just too strong compared to Arsenal.

Can't really blame Wenger for it. But he should be buying more 'senior' players to add to his squad rather than youngsters like Bendtner, Walcott, Hoyte etc. Need a commanding figure or two in midfield like Chelsea: Lampard, Makelele, Ballack, Essien. United: Giggs, Scholes (even though I think he has past it), Hargreaves. Arsenal should really get a commanding figure at the back to partner Gallas also

i'm a spurs fan (for my sins) and i hate Arsenal with a passion, i thought Arsenal's team were too young to win the league this season and i think i was right. However i think Arsenal will win the league within the next 2 seasons, there side would have matured and wont bottle it........since the Birmingham game they've been average imo (in the Prem)

He's right as well!

On current form, and both teams left to play in their own preferred way (that's their choice, points are all teams priorities!), Man Utd would win, but in a pure footballing contest, it's Arsenal all day long, against anyone!

Seeing Arsenals passing game in full flow is an awesome sight. I ain't an Arsenal fan, but to me, they are just incredible to watch

This might be a bit biased but i say its United.Take away the dives from Ronaldo and we are the best in league for attacking football. We can play exciting football and gring away to gety results.Arsenal think they are better than they are and keep this one pass football going. When it dosent work they start to sulk.

Are you pulling my pisser about etertainment ? You are a boring team to watch. You get the one goal and you sit back and show everyone how its done. When its pure bollocks and you should be finishing the game off rather than passing it about till the 85th minute and get another one.

I agree, Ronaldo player of the season. Goal of the season, hmmm, there's been too many to choose from, but if you pick a top 10, he'd have at least 3 in there no doubt. Are they gonna win the Premiership? Probably, although I hope Chelsea do it. Most entertaining team, still Arsenal for me.

And the Champions League. Man Utd are probably the favourites, but why can't Chelsea, Arsenal or even Liverpool win it? It's a knockout competition, everyone has a chance...

Ok,thats why we derserved the win at Emirates this season. And we battered you in the cup.

Never mind about this "our reserve team were out" I thought you were the `invincibles` ? The best youth set up in England etc.

As said, I ain't an Arsenal fan, so have no need to be biased...

You have hit upon my one gripe with Arsenal. Even at 3-0 up, they seem to run the clock down too much, but 5 minutes of dullness is nothing 'cos Arsenal will guarantee you entertaiment for the vast majority of the match. Win, lose or draw

Aside from virtually everything Ronaldo touches, and the odd good goal from other players, United just don't excite me...

i agree any of them still can do it but.... when Man Utd are on fire they tend to just get the result needed.

sadly as a chelsea supporter when the needed result from a game is needed we shoot our self in the foot. ie the spurs games and the Fenabache game. sometimes you just wanna slap ya players around the back of the head like the dads do to their kids in the Sunday league games when there playing shit

I'm sure if Arsenal wanted to spend money they could...didn't they announce record profits this year?

Obviously Arsene Wenger thinks he doesn't need to spend, which is fine....but fancy football doesn't always win games does it....defending can be just as important as attacking when it comes to winning games....which is where United do well, they're defence is strong.

I just look at how badly they have collapsed this season, 1 or 2 wins in the last 11 games isn't it? that's pretty awful!

yes he has a talent to bring through young players, but tactically i find him extremely lacking, there's never a plan B, and when they aren't on form they are easy to play...like our reserves showed today

Perhaps L'pool witll have a few more of their youngsters coming through soon. I thought it was a very impressive debut from Plessis today

Liverpool Reserves are running away with the Northern Reserve League, so Rafa should have a nice crop of youngsters to blood into the 1st team next season

As a Arsenal supporter im really dissapointed wiv the way things have gone over the past month, I think the Birmingham game has really affected us, if we would of won that then I think we would of been still top by a couple of points at least..

IMO Wenger needs to buy in the summer, the squad is way to small to cope wiv the league and cups, they look really tired at the mo and we cant rest anyone coz we aint got anyone good enough to replace the top players..

Fingers crossed for tuesday..
