the 1 series is actually a really good entry level car! And great for corporate use, or even people who like the BMW badge, but cant necessarily afford anything else!

i wasn't saying that the car is completely free at all - i was saying that nobody should expect a free ride through life regardless of their circumstances. perhaps you are young and are confusing the word 'ride' with car? if that's a bad attitude, then i don't care -it's a tough world out there.

or do you think that they should have a free ride and should not have to try and make any kind of contribution to society?

there has to be a limit of some kind if the car is paid for out of their benefits - surely the benefits are limited so it is in their interest not to spend too high a proportion of it on a flashy motor that is superlative to their requirements for basic mobility?

Nick,

Immigrants and the likes get a free ride through life in this country, so why shouldnt a geniune English disabled person get a free ride? Not that they do like, but still someone who is disabled maybe does deserve to be cut some slack and given a free car.

I could have sworn when I drove past there the other day, there was a guy one side of a car (blue 335 cab) and Maria the other side and at that precise moment, she lent forward and undone a button on her shirt!

Rich, imo virtually nobody should get a free ride through life. yes the seriously disabled should, but if benni is capable of being on here all day typing away, then he is perfectly capable of doing some meaningful work. physical disabilities do not necessarily mean that you cannot do anything to pay your way through life

Fair point. benni does sit here all day doing stupid posts but he is classed as disabled. You cant have discrimination against the disabled because one person is less disabled than another can you? Or maybe you can i dont know.

Because by the general nature of saying one person is said to be more disabled than another and therefore gets a free car for instance you are discriminating against the person who is said to be less disabled. But still, i see your point

I am not getting confused. I pay all my taxes etc, you just sound very bitter and almost jealous.

If you are that bothered you can go on the motability website and look for yourself. Benni has obviously been classed as disabled in some way, and has been given a high rate DLA

i am in no way jealous of people's disabilities - like i'd wish to have one

you're all taking my point of view to an extreme that i am not. i was just trying to say that why should a disabled person have a bmw when a peugeot 106 or whatever would do?

anyway, it's completely off topic

My disabilities will never be questioned again, so if you think I am going spend my time explaining myself to some idiot over the internet you would be wrong.

How I choose to spend my time is of no relevance to my illness, why you felt the need to bring that up I will never know. To be honest, I don’t think I care. You should go for a medical yourself, I know of a man with a chin half the size of yours and he receives the lower rate disability living allowance. It’s one hell of an eyesore, and I guess you do have to live with it. Maybe you could get yourself some sort of extension built into your car to accommodate it?

I would completely agree with you if the car was free, but as you pay more the better the car you are therefore given a choice, just like anyone else would be. If I chose to drive around in a Fiat Panda I would therefore have allot more money left to myself. And what have you got against the peugeot 106, Jealousy?

the fact is, that it is being paid for out of benefits paid to you - not by any work that you are doing yourself. as i have contributed to those payments, i think i have a right to suggest that a small, basic car to give you basic mobility should be your basic right. anything more is a luxury that people like me have to work hard for.

The point is though, I would recieve that money and car wheter I work or not. And I could choose a a small car and I would therefore have allot more money instead of it going on the car. I would have to have a big car anyway because of one of my problems, so I think a Ford Focus isn't too much to ask for, considering I pay extra for it out of the money I am awarded, regardless of if I work or I don't... So therefore, there are people who work and recieve DLA, so they also contribute to there car payement.

It must be an ST though, I won't be seen in anything less, Benni.

Benni.
Oooh, I obviously touched a nerve!

Bottom line is, you're a fucking waster, pure and simple.

Your disability isn't all encompassing. There is plenty you could do, and still earn a good wage, but you don't because you'd rather sit on your fat arse on the internet all day posting pictures of yourself in increasingly immature positions. That, or trying to be funny to curry favour with a bunch of people who wouldn't ever socialise with someone of your mentality/personality, even if you promised them half of your waster payment.

Just don't shoot the messenger. You could work but choose not to. You're fat and could lose weight but don't. You could make something of your life but post pictures on a car forum of yourself making you look even more pathetic than you do already.

I don't intend to apologise before anyone suggests it for insulting a disabled person. It's only recently I realised that you were claiming for a physical disability and not a mental one.

As for the rest of your comments, is that it? Please! I can't possibly be insulted by a fat cripple whose life acheivements include "trying to impress people on the internet" and "making up stories on the internet".

Your parents must be so proud.

A this very moment Richard I am awaiting the results of my assessment tests for college to decide what lever I am at In order to go back. I am already half way through studying and had to take a break because of personal issues, like I said before I will not go any further into this with you because I don’t have too. I have explained all I have too, to whom it concerns and I am now on disability living allowance. Not that this is any of your business, nor will it ever be. Even after I have finished studying and I am in a well paying job I will still be entitled to it. Whether I work is irrelevant, as I would still be awarded it. I am awarded it, not because I don’t work, but because I am disabled. So where does me having a job come into me having a motability car, it doesn’t and it never will.

As for calling me a fat cripple, I feel even that is low for you. Not that it bothers me, if you think it did you would be highly mistaken. I could loose my weight, you will always be stuck with your chin. It’s funny how many, many members of this forum have Private Messaged me in the past about you, including some of your so called friends and told me to ignore you, because in real life you are actually a half decent person and your internet persona is one of that very different to in real life. I find that hard to believe, but will have to take there word for it on the hope that one day we will meet, you never know.

As for me being able to work, I am currently on the list for a total hip replacement to my right side as I am bone on bone, the cartilage between the hip and pelvis is non existent, very, very painful. I could possibly find myself a job. But while I am awaiting this I am advised not too. When I have had it I will return to college, or hopefully with all the treatment I on it might become stronger meaning I will be able to go back to the gym, meaning I loose some weight and get my bones stronger.

As for it being a “Waster” payment as you put it, like I said it is awarded to everyone with a disability, regardless of if they work. So therefore, if someone with a high paying job received this, he would be a waster? You’re nothing more than a small minded, ignorant idiot. I’m surprised you haven’t brought up The Muppet Room, by now you normally would have.

As for me being able to work, I could explain to you why I don’t, but then why should I, Who are you to me? Nobody. That’s all you will ever be as far as I am concerned.

Benni.
