I need to find out if there is some sort of special edition 320D out at the moment with leather interior. Trying to find details and spec but the website doesnt really list it.
Just wondering if Maria or another person knew?!

Helllloooooo yup indeed i do work for BMW!

As for the special editions.... yup there is a 320d Saloon or tourer special edition.

You get:

Leather
Metallic Paint(choice of 3 colours, graphite, silver or black )
Brushed aluminium trim
17" Alloys
M leather steering wheel and M gearshift

All that is Ł750 in addition to a standard SE.

Hope this helps!

Or for an extra Ł1000 on top of a standard M Sport, you can get the edition M sport which includes:

Leather
Metallic Paint
Business Nav
Buetooth
18" limited edition alloys

Can you get your motability salesmen to do me a 1 series BMW? I'm told I can't have one because of the insurance groups. Beat him up if you have to, I have to have one.

quite rightly imo - you may need a car to get about, but it doesn't have to be anything special does it? i wouldn't have minded being given a 1 series at the age of 21 to drive about in whilst i was busy studying at university

your circumstances may well be unfortunate, but it shouldn't entitle you to a jolly good free ride through life imo

sorry to go off topic

The better the car, the more the deposit. So I'm not being given one as such, I am paying more for it. I do agree though to a certain extent.

how much is the deposit then, on the 1 series?

i dont see why you should be given a car just because you have an unfortunate condition.

I am not given a car as you put it and the prices vary. However, my current Ford Focus cost me a Ł150 deposit and tires, insurance, servicing etc is all in with the final cost. And allot of people don't see why I should be 'Given' one as you put it, but the goverment do and that's all that matters.

Motability dont 'give' the users a car, they simply help them get in to a car which they potentially couldnt due to a disability.

You're wasting your time. When ignorance and jealousy come together you are left with an impossibility. I like to agree with them, it’s much easier. ‘Tires are free so I go through them faster than I go through sox’. And so on…

Erm, Maria, I don't quite get that last comment. Motability for most folks just means instead of receiving their benefit it goes towards a new car, most of which do not need any special modifications before they can use em.

I will grant you there are certain folks who do need their prospective vehicle altered, but these are are minority, all IMHO of course

arch - some motability users can have their benefit as well as help towards a new vehicle!

Most dont have to have their car altered in any way.

It is only when a disabled user buys a car VAT free that it has to have a permanent modification.

MARIA, my mates got an 06 plate CS M3 in blue, roughly 18000 miles on, and he's interested in the new M3, his car is totally mint, how much roughly do you think a dealer would give him as trade in against the new M3??

Just interested to know how much its worth trade in?

Personally do you prefer the older M3 or the newer one then?

I'll tell him to save a little more

Tis a tough one to be honest, i prefer the drive of the older one, but the grunt of the newer one! There are a couple of new shape ones floating around for less money!

You 'should' be able to pick a new shape one up for about 47k

Good to have the opinion of a pro. lol. Knowing him he'd want a top spec new one. Do they really justify the price?

I've seen one in the flesh before back in October and got a couple of quick shots of it. I must say it does look good this particular one cos its in white. But it doesnt scream M3 at you. I do like it though. And I was hoping they'd be a bit more rumbly low down but was pretty quiet just idling. Did get a hint of rumble when it started to move though.
