I'm not a blinkered badge snob at all. I dare say I've had considerably more Skuds than most people on here... in fact I just took an 02 RS hatch in part ex [PM for details, this IS a for sale Ad ] and have a Labia sat here that won't fucking sell... but when a peasant DOES turn up to buy one, I certainly won't be spending their hard earned and my easy earned on a poxy old Skoda

In all seriousness, I actually think pound for pound Skoda are BETTER than the modern Audis and VWs which aren't as reliable as people seem to believe! You only have to look at the JD Power surveys [where most of the Golf based cars came ABOVE the golf] or ask any warranty firm what they spend the most on.... after the Freelanders it's Audi TTs, A6s, Polos and Golfs that are not far behind!

 

is it a 1.9tdi engine in those like in the fabia hatch?

i think alot of people under estimate what these cars are like tbh and just see the badge and think "fuckin skoda shite"

that interior really suits the car

 

couldnt agree more, our neighbour who is about 70 said by thats a smart car aint it, what is it. when we told him it was a skoda he was totally gobsmacked

 

i really want to keep mine, but im in my van all week and dont really use the car. The missis likes it, comfort, got all the toys as standerd, massive boot for the pram and in nearly 2 years of owning it i have lifted the bonnet twice to top up the windscreen wash and check the oil

 

i cant see me getting rid of mine tbh, if i do itll be for another one

 

Great car, needs std rear lights though. If you are a true petrol head you will appreciate anything fast and sleeperish ... VRS is a great car anyway, again if you knock it on the badge you would be a fool. And the local traffic bobbies use them unmarked, and they are not slow, put it that way.
