Im going to have a 2.5" system made up for my nova, but the guy said he will probably have to step it down to 2.25" for the bend over the rear axle.
is that likely to effect much or is it a pretty common thing to do?
its a 2ltr turbo and will be running about 270bhp

nope, my xe nova was the fastest thing ive driven properly.
have driveb my dads dax rush which is about 215 bhp but not given it a propper ragging yet.
just need to get the chip and get it set up once i cut and weld the linkage and have an exhaust made.
fuel pump should be here tomorrow.
just unfortunate im away this weekend and wont get it done till next week.

It Wasnt Me!
I'd say minimum u want is 2.5"
Standard rs turbos for instance come from ford with a 2.5" system...
and with the old scorpion exhausts, they are restrictive with them having a 2" pipe in the back box...
so if 2" is restrictive on a std rst, then i'd say 2.25 will be for you.
