Default Valet mode??

Just going round to see a mate's mondeo that won't start.The ignition is dead and he has been told by ford it's in a valet mode.How do you get it out of the valet mode??Regards Robbie

If ford told him thats the problem why didnt he ask them while he was at it.
On my Clifford Alarm ive got dash mounted buttons used for valet mode, has he got any buttons on his mondeo? you need the cars manual really or if its an aftermarket alarm get the manual for it.

valet mode on Clifford's, etc just turn the alarm "Off". So it wont activate or self activate if your leaving doors, bonnets, etc open. It wouldn't stop the car starting...

valet mode iirc just immobilizes the car whilst leaving doors open and all other sensors off so you cant start it. the starting motor shouldnt engage, neither spark nor fuel

you should just get in, close the door, arm the alarm fully, the disarm it in the usual way, then away you go.....
