IIRC even the ford ones are recon now....
but otherwise, just get a recon one now £60 ish and then order a brand new one and swap that when it arrives.

Just get yours repaired, as little as £10, depending of course on what's wrong or DIY as it is easy.
LUK(LUCAS) do them BRAND NEW, and have stock, if that helps.

do they have them in stock is there a dealer near elstree cos all the places weve tried said we can order one for u no good for us we want it now and we dont want a re con one
but will take i if we get desperate and use it as a spare .
normally would not be in such a rush but out of 5 cars we have 3 broke down in the last week the 91 cooper lights went fiestas clutch has gone and the cossie has the starter probs the other two are in bits being done up .
wife is not happy as i may be buying another escort this week
