Texas Tornado.................proper ledg'

Loved his ol' Superbike battles with Foggy/Haga/Corser et al, was the greatest ever era in Supers' history

Amazin' he kept it up on knee/elbow 'though doubt he'd have saved it if on the ol' 2 strokes ( proper scary bikes)

Class and he knew that is something he'd never repeat. Race lost, crowd won, place in history secured

Carl Fogarty was a fookin' legend ..............

All the more impressive in such a field of great Superbike riders (remember last corner Assen 98 Foggy & Chili?? )

Had so many battles season after season, Scott Russell, Aaron Slight, Frankie Chili, John Kosinkski, Nori Haga, Colin Edwards et al. And Honda, Kwak, Yam, Suzi & Ducati running proper factory bikes, topped off with Sky's Keith & Jules great commentry, was great times.

And don't forget Carl did it at the TT too
