A remap cannot be detected as far as I know, and if it could I highly, highly doubt it would be. Please don't go for bluefin as it's shit, just like a tuning box. You want a remap, Motorsport develepmonts are the best. They may even have a dealer in your area,

Benni.

Bit harsh is that quote.......

You are making out that the Ł500 Bluefin that is made by Superchips is the same as a Ł99 tuning box......which it isnt.

Yes it is something that is plugged in and then taken out again but it is a bit more delevoped that a "Tuning box".........

I had a BlueFin on my Mondeo ST TDCi and it was superb..........You was able to upload the remapped map and then if needed you could put the original map back onto it.
ALSO
, for security you can completly wipe the ecu if you are leaving the car while on holiday for instance.....then reinstall it when you come back.
ALSO
It has a code reading device on them............

BUt yer.....Just like a Ł99 tuning box

I agree it's not as bad as a tuning box, far from it. I wasn't saying that but the way I wrote it, it came out that way so I apologise. However, I wasn't trying to tell him what was good and what was bad, I was just telling him which was best which is a remap.

It works out Ł75 cheaper than bluefin and it's allot better, making bluefin not so good in comparison. But obviously, great in comparison to a tuning box. Either way, I would take the remap over them both everytime.

A friend of mines Fiesta Zetec S was 5mph faster without it, tested back to back. I'm not sure if bluefin makes your speedo more accurate, I assume it doesn't.
