I always wanted one of these when i was younger. Well, not an original but at least a built up one. That and the skeete renault 5 were my dream cars at the time.

Been in one as a passenger, all engine work done too (turbo, etc...) and it was seriously quick in its day. Chap who owned it sold it on, then bought a 3dr cossie

I dont think the dimma ones were but turbo technics did a few conversions on a few GTi's when they were new iirc.

Why are a few people going on about turbos n stuff?

Dimmas are just FWD 205s with T16 replica bodykits, not mid engine 4wd turbo 205 T16 GrpB Homologation cars

Its the Pug equivalent of a Mk5 XR3i with an Escort Cossie bodykit

THIS is the proper 205

Its not even like Peugeot made the Dimma kits, Dimma did, they just some UK bodykit manufacturer like MC Rallying, just after a while some were approved by Pug to be fitted pre-sale.

Wonder if in 15years people will be starting threads as a really good nick Punto with a Combat kit comes up on Ebay

I had a Dimma kitted 1.6 in white bout 8-9 years ago, just the bodykit and split rims.

To be honest, I was embarassed driving it then and couldn't wait to sell it, so fuck owning one now

Correct, the one I went in as a passenger was turbo technic'd , so a bit quicker than a std 1.9 or 1.6 GTi

Turbo Technics 205GTIs were 160bhp for the 1.6 and 175bhp for the 1.9.

Just enough to counteract the performance dropoff of 8 tons of fibreglass and wheels that weight 5 times as much as standard
