if your computer has 512 MB RAM, it will have a 768 MB page file by default

Id surgest checking its set at that, i wouldnt go changing it from default unless your having messages pop up saying your memory is too low.

Right then lets go off my pc, because ive got no issues at all..........

My total paging for all drives is 2046mb(ive got 2gigs of ram) so thats the whole lot.
Initial is 2046
Max is double that at 4092.
So you need to double it.

To be honest though, if your having memory issues or wanting to speed it up cheaply buy some more ram, another 512mb would be great and it doesnt cost much at all and takes 5mins to install
