Default Diesel remapping

Is it worth it

Can you realy get more power, torque and better fuel economy

anybody had it done

Views please as the missus has just got a 150 bhp diesel astra

What sort of gains should I expect

After its initial remap, my seat ibiza had approx 190bhp, 300lb/ft torque and was still averaging 50mpg easily.

Thats around a 30bhp increase. Was the single best thing I ever did to the car. Nothing else you can do (other than nitrous maybe) can offer the same gains for such a small outlay

In the real world with a remap she would be as quick as a Vauxhall Astra VXR. My friend had his Diesel remapped, I can honestly say it was a different car to drive afterwards. Smoother, quicker, better on fuel etc. By the way, how is the car? I would like one for my next car, but in are house we have only ever had ford.

I can assure you, you won't regret it.

alot of gains can be had with a proper remap, dont even think about a cheap shitty plug and play thing there not worth a light, see what Stu @ msd says or it might be on his website what gains he can do for you

I think Andy is referring to the so called magic black boxes - which just increase the fuel pressure lol

A 130 TDCi was nowhere near as quick as a 115 TDCi with a remap from MSD.
