my uncle had a grey saff brand new, took it to F1 in belguim, pissed up and didnt want to leave it at the pub so went to drive, my old man got in the front, the other guy said fuck that and walked. Got about 20 yards down the road and my dad got out told him he was a knob etc etc.

Anyway, they got back to the hotel and greated by the manager to say he had been in a car accident, went and seen the car and the passenger side was none existent.

Police said my old man would of been dead if still in the car

As for my uncle, he was taken to the police station refusing to take a breath test, they left him there until he gave a sample, no medical help and his shine bone was sticking out of his knee!

He lost the car, and had to get a special flight home as he was in that bad condition

Terrible Carlo. Sorry to hear, Glad you are still around to tell the story.

Dan The punishment was severe in every sense of the word.

Its not something I talk about very often but lets just say I got to know what being held at her majestys service was all about...

its just the way isnt it, The bloke being an idiot gets away with it and the trusting lad gets all the heartache.

Not easy to talk about that sort of thing.

Good on ya mate...

I dont mind mate sometimes bottling things up makes it worse.
The car we hit the guy driving it had just pulled away from a set of traffic lights got into 3rd gear he didnt even see the bike the police towed the bike with a chain 3 times closing the road to try & re construct the accident at 70mph the bike still didnt land where it did.Only 4 witneses 1 the bike driver, 2 me which was in no fit state to give a statment,3 the last car we overtook but we went too fast for her to see the impact & a woman hear a noise & sparks but thought her exhaust had fallen off

One incident that has stayed with me was one night when I was 17, I hadn't been driving long and had my first car which was a Pug 205 1.4. I was out cruising about in tandem with my mate in his 1.2 Nova, yes we were real hardcore.

Anyway we did the Kev circuit round town for a bit then headed out into the country. The roads were damp and greasey so I was keeping it sensible at around 60, while he was off at 70-80. He was a little way ahead of me and as I came onto a half mile straight he was at the end just going over the brow of a hill into a left hander. I could see his tail lights and because he had his main beams on I could see where he was heading, if you know what I mean.
So as his tail lights disappeared I could still see the bright light from his headlights over the brow of the hill, then all I could see was what looked like flashing lights in all directions. I started shitting it and when I got to the brow of the hill I could see lights in the hedgerow about 100 yards away.
I pulled up and started walking up to his car, the rear end was literally smashed to fuck, the drivers door was open, radio still blaring out and him nowhere to be seen. I was really shitting it now, heart pounding away. As I moved around to the front of the car I tripped over my mate who was sat againt the front wheel dazed to fuck.
Luckily he only had superficial injuries so when he came round we surveyed the damage and all four wheels were inflated and pointing in the right direction so we tried to start it and it fired, no damage to the rad so we got it out the hedge and onto the road and drove it home, with me sat on his arse as there was no back end left.
To this day whenever I hear 'I'd do anything for love' by Meat Loaf I get goose bumps, that was the song blaring out of his car when I was walking up to it.

And no I'm not a poof.

Alg1k was the old lady ok that hit you? im sure it was a old lady or foreigner? remember reading your post about it.
My mate got a year ban & a fine they found it had to keep dangerous driving on him because nobody really knew what happened.
Only me & him will know to this day (he says he cant remember) but if i can im sure he can.I can remember hitting the car & lying on the ground waiting for help.I dont remember being thrown around.

Never crashed myself(touch wood) but was in my mates Nova SR in summer 2003 when he crashed in the middle of Clacton town, hit a kerb hard and the car went on 2 wheels for about 50 yards James Bond style then came down on all 4 and wound it up the back of a parked Escort Cabby. Banged my knee and head but felt ok.
Woke up the next morning and my neck was really aching. My mate in the back got hit in the back of the head by a 6X9 speaker, we laugh about it now.

You can imagine how busy clacton is in summer aswell! i got out of the car and about 100 people were stareing(spelling) at us!

Fair play to everyone owning up to there mistakes aswell!

LOL was thinking about it for a while. Someone i know was going to jig it but i could not store it for the length of time i was going to be away from it.

Also realised that it could never be repaired properly...

I meant the person that bought it in bits, He come from nottingham with a trailer, He also got the deal of a lifetime. Wish i held onto it now.

Was 19 and just had my car remapped after having the engine built. Holding 28PSI. Tried to take a left and a right hander in one sweep on the wrong side of the road at 100 in a 30.

Driving like a complete c**t as i came out of the bend a car pulled out of the turning on the right hand side. (not his fault)

As i was on the wrong side of the road i had to brake. As i dabbed the brake i was reminded how poorly a 4x4 saff handles and how stupid i was being.

Rear end bounced, as it bounced back down hit the kerb snapped wheel in two pieces flung me the other way making me hit my head on a piller knocking me unconcious. went through 3 gardens and landed up against a tree.

Come round to be trapped in car with pedal box trapping my Feet and door unopenable. This is probably most ive ever said about it to anyone other than my wife, But as carlo said sometimes its good to talk about it.

Fuckin hell Carlo ....No wonder you trust nobody

Just over 1 year ago my workmate put the 7 tonner truck we drive on a sunday nightshift to Birmingham and back lost the back end on the A702 just before Biggar.............. was all over the road trying to correct it coming off the sweeping left bend and spun it right round hit the kerb side on and away we went.................took a tree out as we rolled down a 15ft banking .......landing back on our wheels after rolling twice, as we were in mid roll and being throw about like a rag doll i was smacked over the head with a large fire exstinguisher (sp) which has left me with a lovely scar on my forehead right on the hairline.

Tell you what though, you dont realise how sore it really is till a day or 2 later lol........ i was fuckin black n blue all over after that and still the scar area is sore occasionallly to this day

Im awaiting the compensation now as first offer has been rejected

I did something similar, got up to max speed on the bend and then stamped on the throttle, in less than 1 hundredth of a second, I went from show off to doing everything in my power to stop a crash. It went out, I caught it, it came back but there was no room for it to keep going back as the kerb was very very close, so I had to convince it to stop swinging back, ended up using a farm driveway as a few extra feet. Total nob. Never did anything silly like that since!
