What has the size of my tool got to do with my car choice?? I'm not the one with a low rent Ferrari on my drive My cars are just that, I am not bothered in the slightest what others think and I never use them for posing .. Hell my main form of transport is a Transit van!

I thought rs1600i's are highly desireable and i have seen them for much more than 3k. I think its a good idea and if in 15 years they end up like the mk2 rs1800 (which im pretty sure they wont) then im sure it will still command a relatively high price as nearly anything can go back to standard.
Although i dont know martin too well he does not strike me as someone that modifys his own cars for what they will be worth in the end anyway.
Rs1600i retro looks are hard to beat IMO.

How would the 1600i be as a small budget track car? with it being built for homologation purposes I guess it would be better suited than an rst or fiesta?

Love them!
Always preferred them and the XR MK3 Escorts looks wise to the S1...... just a shame they're lacking a turbo.
Audi lump in one will be a bloody cool conversion!

This belonged to my mate, he loved it and spent his life perfecting it. He always said it wasnt good enough to show but the lad who bought it put it in for a few and it won them. My mate sold it for £2.5k I was desperately tryin to get the money to buy it at the time.

Martin, a good point of call would be Shings (Jake)
He will be an awesome point of contact when it comes to rs1600i's
He would prolly beat ur escort in a road race with how he drives Karl will vouch for me

tbh. isn't it pointless paying the premium for a mint rs1600i to just molest it. surley it would be much cheaper & better to use a mint base shell & fit the rs1600i parts. mint shells can be had for under £500. add about £150 for the spoilers & £80 for the wheels & your about there in the looks department & everything else would just be uprated anyway
