as above i got caught speeding (sp30) on ............8th - april - 2004

so 4 years next month, just wondered how long untill i can have the points removed and what does it cost to have them taken off.

Also is it 5 years i have to tell the insurance for? not that the 3 points made any differance when i told them

Points are 'active' for three years, can be removed after 4.

If the insurance ask for 5 years, you should tell them - different co's ask for different things...

As above, i think its something like 27 or 30 quid to get them off, might be more nowadays but a cheaper way is to tell them you have moved address! Its free! Then "Move" back again once you have your clean licence sent through.
