the 5's are beginning to drop now and prices are all over the place.
personally i would say the m3 being low miles/hardtop/manual would be worth more-especially in a couple of months.
although you do also see evo 5's for sale at £8995..............

your m3 is worth more than the evo but i would rather have the evo in my opinion dunno how much the evo is worth would need spec etc but on MLR i would say in a range of 5-7 grand

a 54k mileage evo 5 is relatively sort of lowish-mid sort of mileage and would probably fetch (depending on the spec and reg) anything between 8000-9500. Your M3 however is a low mileage car and is the evo version. Your call mate but I dont think you will be losing out if you did.

7k+ on a 5 still easily mate!
Just because the M3 is a drop top and i'm not a fan personally i'd take the Evo, also the 5 is one of my favourite Evo models

but the m3 is worth more and should be easier to sell especially as now its coming up to summer and estoril blue with low miles is WELL sought after mid year
so to cut it short, dont be fucking stupid!!!
unless of course you WANT the evo to try it for yourself

M3 prices are dropping, so many are aware of the vanos, and insurance is getting difficult, and going up.
Think it's a little over-priced the M3, but are getting hard to find with sensible miles, although people will want to know where the 14bhp over stock has come from on a standard car.

The car is standard, hasnt been messed around with at all. I thought they were 330 ! Where did i get that from...........what are they standard?
So the opinion is that the M3 is worth more, i was going to drop the price once i came home to help with the sale, i wouldnt mind an evo 5 for a while as i havent had one before so how much should i tell him i want ontop of my car?

316bhp (321ps) even your handbook will be wrong, mine is on the 3.0!
You'd want a grand minimum on top IMO.
Your Evo is obviously tidy, and will be sought after with those miles and colour etc, just as I said prices have dropped, but still there if you held out I expect, or thereabouts.
Totally different cars though!
Brother had the 6 TME, made the M3 feel like an old Volvo Estate, and I nearly crashed it trying to keep up off a roundabout

evo 5 is one of the best looking evo,s you can buy!! and that looks in good nic worth well over 7grand but you need a evo person to check the engine out, evo,s or just like cozzys they blow up all the time..lol

As Jay says the evo 5's are coming down and will fall considerably this year IMO (as they now fall inot the no sva 10 year rule)
That price is a bit rich, but I'd say £8k is realistic IF it's a nice as he says, but it looks like it's maybe had some fresh paint over the front of the car (looking at the 1st and last pics of the side it clearly looks a bit creamier from the rear door back/fresher white at front)
Also I'd be wanting to see some reasonable history for a £9k evo 5, and there's no mention of it.. plus I'd want to see cambelt replaced at that age/mileage.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
only do this deal if you are getting some cash along with your BMW.
I currently have a low mileage M3 EVO convertible for sale similar to yours and have a good idea what they are worth (even though these M3's are horrible to drive they do hold their value if low mielage and fsh).
Evo's great fun, no doubt about it (have owned a few VI, VIII MR etc)) but the 5's are all imports and dont have a huge value today, even for a really good one the prices have dropped, as you can now get a very nice VI, UK supplied sub £10k (sowhy pay a lot for a V?).
V near enough as great to drive as a VI, and slightly less aggressive looks, and rare in UK, but not worth a huge amount....
