Could be causing a car not to run true. My girlfriend's Fiesta Si sways to the right, to keep it from going right you have to turn the steering wheel like 5-10 degrees to the left.

What could cause this? Tracking?

Well yeah, after checking tyres and pressures 4 wheel alignment (inc. tracking) would be way to go.
I expect she's bumped a kerb, although don't bother asking, no way will she have done so
