Default 3dr wiring help needed!!

got a 3dr that wont start its had a phase sensor and crank sensor before i looked at it. when you crank the fuel pump comes on but no spark or trigger at the injectors. theres 1 live at the ecu (red wire) and 2 earths (at the end of the plug) has anyone got any pin data for this?

Yes you can swap for a L6 mate ,,

Check the engine loom where it goes through the bulkhead ,, massive problem on the 3 door ,,also change the coil .

theres continuity through all the wires and not the coil cos theres actually no trigger at the coil or injectors. il try an ecu now i know that.had a scope on the sensor wires and im getting a faint wave form at the crank but nothing at the phase even tho its new so just presuming ive got it on the wrong setting or something! cheers.

if the crank sensor was changed before you got it check that its gapped correctly..same goes with the phase sensor... as thes can throw things amiss if not right.

I cant remember the gap though

First thing to do is LISTEN on FIRST start of the day to the pump PRIME, if it does PRIME first thing then you have a clean CPS signal, the gap is 0.6mm to 1.0mm, but they will still work wildly outside of this.
Next make sure the PHASE sensor is plugged the correct way round, the top wire on the sensor, MUST go to the pin the dizzy body(connector) NEAREST TO IT.
The gap of the phase is 0.2mm to 0.3mm.
Alignment of the phase sensor is critical though it will not stop spark occuring, just throw out fuelling.

Mark. Sounds like a phase sensor error to me!!

Make sure the dizzy is correctly timed too (rotor arm pointing at the mark on the dizzy body at tdc).

Have got the same problem with mine, the engines been out for three years (periodically turned over by hand) It tries to fire but wont run, gettin fuel +spark but really stinks of petrol.
My next train of thought is that the fuel pressure reg may be goosed so theres too much fuel pressure and its flooding the engine????????????????? Maybe...............
All sensors check out ok and all gapped correctly.

hi bud, read the start again lol. i have no triggers so no fuel or spark at all. ive told the guy to get new crank and phase sensors rather than second hand then il start again. cheers. yours could be as simple as the coolant sensor bud.
