hi all got a eeepc this morning, it came installed with xp on it i think its xp lite or something says xp pro though on system, anyway when i plug in my 3 mobile broadband modem it doesnt self install like it does on other machines, i had to find the modem (shows as a external drive) and do a install


but when i load the software i get errors

as i load up the software i get a small pop up
exception EOleException in module DLL_NETCARD_R.DLL at 00044F3E.

then another
access violation at address 004e91ba in module 'datacard.exe' read of address 000002ec

been messing about with it all day a quick google search revealed this site page

makes sence to me so tried right clicking to do the compatability thing and there isnt a compatability tag


im really stuck on this, ive spend 175 on the machine and 100 on a modem purely just to get internet when im out and about and it dont work

Pc? i thought it was a laptop you were waiting for on order?

The modem should have came with a cd with the drivers on it.

it is a laptop mate and its a mobile broadband modem by 3 not a home wireless one etc

Oh right im not sure then, might be worth giving them a call and asking how on earth you get the thing working.
