Default Windows/Office Update problem.....

My PC is set to Auto-update and it does without problems. However, for the last few days it has been trying to carry out an update and always fails. But it keeps trying every day. Without knowing why its failing, I can't resolve it, or stop it from trying!!

Any ideas?

Thanks Dan.

I've sorted it now, you're along the right lines, it's to do with the 'Office Source Engine' file, which must have been removed when I selected the option to delete installation files when I first installed it!

I didn't see your reply and have already deleted and reinstalled Office!

Copy the source to a "Setups" folder on the HDD and install from there, it will always look to the setups folder if it needs files from the CD then.
