I used to own a gorgeous RS2!! Made 306hp ATW at AVA.
RSX is just the same as a RS2 bar it had recaro SR seats and was a UK car.
RS2 looks like a GSR ie colour coded handles and mirrors
Came with brembos but NO ABS
NO AYC so has the stronger RS running gear with normal ratio gearbox
Has manual air con but not digital climate like GSRs
Had electric windows and mirrors (rs didnt)
Came with RS interior
The whole car is lighter and has thinner metal and glass
More spot welds so is stiffer
Black dials, no variable intermittent on wipers, no electric folding mirrors,
Came with quicker steering rack... 2.1 turns compared to 2.3 GSR
Bigger turbo
Bigger intercooler
20mm more travel on rear suspension
Fog lights on tailgate rather than stuck to bottom of bumper or cut in.
You get the picture.
To drive a RS2 compared to a GSR it feels a lot sharper and more rewarding to drive. Awesome fun. I miss mine.
Its also cheaper to run and service due to no AYC fluids to change.
Whoever mentioned the TME being the best is wrong... TME is just a GSR ( althought there were some RS models but very very rare) with different colour seats, dials, wheels, eibach springs etc... nothing major changed.

Ollie,
I came soooo close to buying that car from cossie1 when he had it up for sale.
Went for the newer VII only for the reason it was for every day use.
Would buy it now though if it came up for sale again

The guy that bought it from Russ (cossie 1) has just sold it on and the new owner is on the MLR. I've asked for first refusal on it...but thinking about it now will be kinda worried it'll have been abused now.
I bought it from my pal who owned it for 2.5 years from 16k or 17k miles and just into the country so knew its history and how it had been pampered.... it was awesome!

No doubt about it mate. Cheaper. Much more fun. So much quicker point to point you wouldnt believe.... And use it everyday and know it'll be fine the next!!!!
I owned a 4x4 saff with T35 low comp greys rs 500 cooler coilovers etc before that. Id never go back to a cossie unless it was a nice standard one to look at in the garage!!!

im the opposite, im breaking my evo 6 to get another cossie, £per Bhp theyre not good, and fuel economy is riduculous, you would get better mpg from a 450bhp cossie WITHOUT closed loop, they do cost a lot to modify and a hell of a lot to repair and maintain, which you wont get with the escos
look nice and interior is spot on, but thats as far as it went for me
rather have an escos over an evo tbh

I think you're crazy mate but each to their own. All i can think is your evo mustve been a dog if its cost you more than a cossie. Yes fuel is bad but you only notice it cos you need to keep putting it in day after day whereas a cossie would break down first.
£1500 gets you 370-380hp... reliably... i dont think thats bad. You dont need to fuck about with suspension like a cossie either. Brakes arent too bad either.
