Any marine aquarium folks on here??
I'm going to set my tank up again from scratch in 2 weeks. I'm really really tempted to finally do a marine tank.
Can anyone tell me exactly what I'd need to set up a basic 3ft tank adequately?? I know little to nothing about salt water aquaria. I am most concerned abou tthe myriad of filtration options....

Its very difficult to keep a marine set up alive unless youre dedicated to it,lots of water changes and lots of care needed.you want to pm projectrs as he has a massive set up and its been goin for about 2-3 years now cost a lot of money but look awesome.

I was gonna say a marine set up is probably one of the most hardest aquariums to keep....
Make sure you have plenty of testing kits to make sure all of your levels are ok, and allow at least 4-6 weeks of running before you put any fish in at all.
Then, when you do start to buy fish, only put 1 or 2 in at a time, as they can drastically change all of the levels, not only that, you'll soon find out if everything is running as it should be... cos they'll soon peg it theyre not!
