number plates on imports
are imported motors subject to the same rules as uk cars, reason i ask is i know estimas have smaller plates due to the location of the fitment
anyone know what the actual law is ???

you can actually get special plates for imported vehicles, just go to any motorfactors and they can usually make you up for you, as they are actually use slightly wider 4x4 plates

All depends on the type of car but the normal size for US and Jap import motors are 12"x6". Letters can be smaller than UK plates at 44mm high if there isn't enough room for full size plate
