Default car insurance question (again lol)

right, i had a bump oct time last year on my second car policy

question is with the saph insurance coming up for renewal soon do i have to say i had a bump on this policy ?

ive got full no claims bonus and its protected on the saph but im going to try hic and adrian flux this time to see how cheap they are, the bump was in my other car though on that policy so where do i stand with this ?

the way i see it is that i shouldnt be penalised at all on my saph policy ?

You have to declare it, otherwise the insurer has a reason not to pay out if you need to claim in future.

you have to declare it... they'll ask if you've had any accidents, claims, convictions in the last x amount of years so you have the option of either a)tell them about it or b)lie and risk not being paid out

And insurers now swap information through the MIDB so they will almost certainly have access to the info on the other claim anyway.

I had this recently. I had a bump in my girls car, so claimed on her policy, but was noted that I was driving (named driver). I didnt mention it at my renewal as I didn;t think I needed to. They sent me a letter saying that they had received info that I had been involved in an accident and they would be cancelling my policy.

Did the question about "Ever having a policy cancelled or refused?" add much to your new premium?

They didn;t actually cancel it. I spoke to them and they adjusted the premium to suit
