Don't bother. Buy a Dell XPS instead

Building PC's just isn't cost effective anymore, also causes more trouble than its worth sometimes. Look at the spec of the XPS range, then try build a similar spec...you wont get anywhere near most likely. Plus the XPS's are nice and quiet, so you dont have to mess around trying to silence and correctly cool the thing once you get it up and running

if your only wanting the pc tower then id agree with the above, if how ever your wanting the whole package, screen, keyboard etc then it can work out 200-400 cheaper depending on spec.
Have a look on dells site at what kinda spec your after http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/to...186&lid=121454
Then source some parts on here http://www.ebuyer.com/

And then do the maths on which is cheaper, for YOU

I'd buy the XPS then get my monitor/mouse/keyboard from elsewhere.

At least youd end up with a decent base unit....with warranty

I think it all boils down to how much you really know about building computers. If you know your stuff (be honest with yourself) then build it yourself as you can save money and spec the PC to your standard using quality components. If you have basic knowledge of system building then probably best to buy pre built as you get the warranty etc...

If you really know your stuff you can build a system that will out perform the XPS range for less money. It also depends on what your budget is.
