what has been done engine transplant in rs turbo escorts thinking of something totaly different for next year just wonderd what has been done before

Duratecs are very very good engines!
To turbo charge them at the moment is very pricey! I have also been informed the blocks are proper shit for silly power. It a real minefield as to weather you get a good block or not! I hear the American drag boys are giving them a miss as up to 9 out of ten are failing at 500bhp plus.
I am thinking about ditching the 2ltr zetec in my Minor pick up for a normal aspo duatec for a good 240bhp as in aspo or low boost for they are the dogs bolox!
Although without a turbo its not an RS Turbo now is it?
