Default Paypal Question (help)

I just got registered on paypal, bank account details cleared etc....great

So I go and buy something on ebay, send payment, get receipt off paypal...then paypal send the guy Ive sent payment too telling him not to send item as their was a problem.

I go into my recent activity on paypal and it sais Payment: Uncleared

Why?

it sais something about waiting 7-9 days?

Is it just because im a new user or is their something i've done wrong?

no

basically its becuase thers no funds in the paypal account or a credit card hasnt been issued onto the account

becuase its coming out of your bank, its sent a e-cheque, basically the money has come out your account butthe seller carnt get his money until the echeque has cleared

i dont know why they do this as its pointless

if you had a credit card registered you could of paid instantly with that

It should make no difference wether you use a credit card or your bank account and you have to specify an echeque for that to be sent. Paypal actively encourage you to use your bank account to pay rather than your credit card as they know that you can get your credit card company to do a charge back in case of problems, and they hate that.

Sign into your paypal account and see what sort of payment has been sent to the seller.

Because your account has just been set up I expect it has not been verified yet and paypal are playing safe.

no it doesnt

sometimes it will let you do it directly out of the bak as a bank transfer, but 90% of the time it will only allow an echeque or pay by credit card
